Our 223 case feed plunger assembly for the Dillon Super 1050, RL1100, and CP2000 is designed to both feed more reliably and avoid broken parts. It’s a common issue for the shoulder bolt to bend or snap off in the original plunger after a case fails to feed into the shell plate. A failure to feed can be caused by debris, a deformed case, or an indexing issue. We made our plunger the same height as a 223 case, so it can smoothly cycle underneath the next case without interference. The added height also keeps the case extra stable as it’s being pushed forward.
If a 300AAC case feeds into the plunger, it will stay in its rearmost position and will NOT feed the 300AAC case forward. Should something ever bind and break the bolt holding the roller bearing, replacement is fast and easy as the captured hex nut simply falls out with the remains of the bolt, and a new one can easily be installed. No more trying to remove a piece of broken bolt from the original plunger.
Included with this kit is the case feed plunger, housing, and our case feed roller bearing kit with adjustable cam.
